01 β Our Standards
Every booking on AfriCrew, big or small, half day or one week, rests on the same foundation.
Professionalism
Treat every assignment as a reflection of your skill and your reputation, whatever the size of the job.
Respect
Every client, colleague, and guest you interact with deserves courtesy, even under pressure.
Integrity
Do what you say you'll do. Represent your skills and experience honestly, and follow through on what you accept.
Accountability
Own your work, your time, and your mistakes. Professionals who take responsibility build the strongest reputations.
Safety
Follow safety procedures for your role and your venue, every time, no shortcuts.
On assignment, you represent AfriCrew as much as you represent yourself. How you show up shapes how organisers see every professional on the platform.
AfriCrew has zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or any form of inappropriate behaviour toward clients, colleagues, or event attendees. This applies to every category of professional on the platform, without exception.
02 β Before Your Gig
Your commitment to an assignment starts before you ever arrive on site.
03 β At the Event
This is where your reputation is actually built.
Role-Specific Considerations
Youβre often the first and last impression a guest has of the event. Stay alert, welcoming, and visible throughout.
Guest and crew safety comes first, always. Follow venue protocols, and escalate concerns through the correct channel, calmly and professionally.
Follow safety procedures around rigging, power, and equipment strictly. A rushed setup is a preventable risk, not bad luck.
Read the room, and stay within the set time, content, and language guidelines agreed with the client beforehand.
Respect restricted areas and any photography or video limitations the client has set β before you start capturing anything.
Communicate clearly with the rest of the team during load-in and load-out. These are the moments where safety and timing matter most.
04 β Professional Boundaries
Trust is what makes AfriCrew work, for clients, and for you.
Confidentiality
Keep event details, guest lists, and client information private, during the assignment and after it ends.
Client Privacy
Never share a client's personal contact details, plans, or information outside the scope of the booking.
Guest & Event Info
Treat anything you see or hear on assignment as confidential unless the client says otherwise.
Photography & Video
Only capture and share content from an event if the client has explicitly permitted it.
Social Media Integrity
Be thoughtful about what you post from an assignment; what you share reflects on you, the client, and AfriCrew.
Appropriate Relationships
Keep interactions with clients and guests professional and within the scope of your role.
No Unauthorised Commitments
Never make promises, agreements, or commitments on AfriCrew's behalf without authorisation.
No Misuse of Info
Anything you learn through a booking stays within the scope of that booking.
AfriCrew's booking and payment system exists to protect both you and the client β stepping outside it puts that protection at risk for everyone. To keep the platform fair and trustworthy, please don't:
- Attempt to bypass AfriCrew's booking or payment process for an assignment that started on the platform
- Redirect a client toward a private, off-platform payment arrangement
- Manipulate or fabricate reviews and ratings, for yourself or anyone else
- Create a misleading or inaccurate profile
- Otherwise act in a way that undermines the trust the platform is built on
These standards exist so that a strong reputation on AfriCrew actually means something.
05 β Payments & Cancellations
Getting paid fairly and on time is central to why AfriCrew exists.
Assignment Confirmation
Once a booking is confirmed by both sides, it's treated as a firm commitment under the applicable AfriCrew booking and payment terms.

Payment is tied to confirmed completion of the agreed assignment.
Payment Processing
Payments are handled securely through the AfriCrew platform, according to the applicable AfriCrew booking and payment terms.
Payment Status Tracking
You can track the status of your payment for each booking directly through your account.
Fair Dispute Review
If a client raises a concern about a completed assignment, it's reviewed fairly, according to applicable terms, before any payment decision is made.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel a confirmed assignment, notify AfriCrew and the client as early as possible.
Emergencies
Genuine emergencies are treated with understanding; tell us as soon as you're able to.
No-shows & Cancellations
Late cancellations affect your reliability record and standing on the platform, as set out in applicable booking terms.

07 β Support & Accountability
Things don't always go to plan. When they don't, here's what to do.
Contact AfriCrew support with the details. Don't try to resolve payment disagreements privately with the client.
Reach out through your account or AfriCrew support if a payment looks incorrect or delayed.
Raise it with the on-site contact immediately, and report it to AfriCrew as soon as you're able to.
Report it immediately. You'll be taken seriously β AfriCrew has zero tolerance for harassment from any party.
Notify AfriCrew and the client as early as possible.
Report it immediately to the relevant on-site contact and to AfriCrew.
Prioritise safety first, then notify AfriCrew as soon as it's safe to do so.
When in doubt, reach out. It's always better to raise something than let it go unreported.
How Concerns Are Handled
Every concern raised on AfriCrew is reviewed fairly before any action is taken. Depending on what's found, outcomes can range from a simple clarification, to a formal warning, to a temporary restriction or suspension of platform access in more serious cases. You'll always have the opportunity to respond and be heard as part of that process.
